Sims 4 freelancer career broken? There’s a mod for that

Sims 4 Freelance Career Mod Fix

The freelance career in The Sims 4 has been quite buggy since it was released. Most recently, the September 2020 patch created a bug that made the career pretty much unplayable for some Simmers.

Freelance Sims would not get paid for their gig (ahem… is that not how it works in real life for us freelancers anyway?) and the job would only end if players cancelled in manually – even if all the steps were completed.

For other players, the gig would end, but they would not get paid. There are various iterations of this problem, but you get the point.

With a new Sims 4 update due to be released this coming week, ahead of the new Sims 4 Snowy Escape expansion pack, there is a chance the bug could get fixed soon, but if it doesn’t – or if you want to advance your freelance Sims while we wait – there’s a mod to help you out.

Fixing The Sims 4 freelance career with a mod

The mod was created by Louisim – their first ever mod, too. You can grab the mod from their official tumblr and get in touch if you run into any problems when using the mod.

If you do not normally use mods or CC, remember to turn on custom content and script mods in The Sims 4 by going to game options.
