The Sims 4 update news: Base game and Eco Lifesyle

The franchise announced its ninth expansion pack this week. It’s titled “Eco Lifestyle” and will feature a dynamic world which changes based on the decisions made by The Sims who live in it. It was also confirmed that ladders will be coming to the Sims 4 base game in a pre-expansion patch. There’s also some speculation that The Sims 4 will finally be getting cars in a patch in the near future.

It was a whirlwind week in The Sims community, following a fake leak which claimed the next pack would be called Country Livin. While it is still possible that the game pack set for release later this year could be along that theme, the Eco Lifestyle pack has had mixed reactions.

The gameplay features that will come with The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle aren’t quite apparent yet, but the game’s developers promised more will be revealed in a deep dive live stream later this month.

One theory is that the world might be one single lot, in an attempt to create the much longed for “open world” that was made popular by The Sims 3.
