English Premier League predictions, fixtures and results: 22 – 24 October 2021

The English Premier League continues this weekend, with arch-rivals locking horns up and down the country on Sunday.

Manchester United and Liverpool resume hostilities at Old Trafford, wrapping up the fixture schedule with their north west battle.

Jurgen Klopp’s visitors are the only unbeaten side remaining in the EPL, sitting a point and a place off top spot, while the Red Devils have slumped to six after going three games without a win.

Their tussle comes hot on the heels of the rival clash between West Ham and Tottenham at the London Stadium.

The capital city pair are also in the top six mix, with Spurs perking up after a shaky spell under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo to win back-to-back Premier League games.

Impressive Brentford and improving Leicester complete a tasty trio of Sunday fixtures, meanwhile, across London.

Chelsea sit top of the EPL table and have the ideal opportunity to maintain their position at the summit in the Saturday lunchtime kick off, with winless Norwich the nervous visitors to Stamford Bridge.

Manchester City are assigned the Saturday evening match and face a stern examination of their title defence against Brighton.

The Seagulls really are flying and would even go above Pep Guardiola’s megastars with a home win.

Down in the midtable mire, Arsenal and Aston Villa bring the curtain up on the EPL weekend with a Friday night clash at the Emirates Stadium.

Elsewhere on Saturday, the eyes of Saudi Arabia fall on Selhurst Park as Newcastle continue their journey under new ownership – and new management – away to Crystal Palace, with a first win of the new era the goal.

Ex-Toon chief Rafa Benitez, meanwhile, marshals his Everton side in a home game against Watford at Goodison Park.

It doesn’t get any easier for Leeds, whose Elland Road clash with Wolves coincides with a hot streak of form for the visitors, who have won four of their last five.

Southampton and Burnley complete the Premier League programme, with both already scrambling for points in the battle to beat the drop.
