Big guns Chelsea and Liverpool contest the first major clash of the new English Premier League season at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The heavyweight duo both snaffled three points on the opening weekend, as Jurgen Klopp’s reigning champions sneaked past livewire Leeds 4-3 on a bonkers opening night at Anfield.
Mohamed Salah opened his new EPL account with a hat-trick, with Virgil van Dijk adding the other to sink Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
Klopp has the luxury of a fully fit squad to pick from, with the exception of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, not to mention the likely signing of Thiago from Bayern Munich to come after their trip to the capital.
Chelsea were also winners in the opening round of games, breezing to a 3-1 success away at Brighton with Jorginho, Reece James and Kurt Zouma all on the scoresheet.
Big money signings Kai Havertz and Timo Werner were also involved in blue for the first time.
Werner is nursing a dead leg but could still make his second Premier League start, with Christian Pulisic still doubtful on his way back from injury.
Summer signing Ben Chilwell remains on the sidelines, as does Hakim Ziyech, with Frank Lampard’s men out to prove a point in their bid to close the gap to the reigning EPL champions.
